Very professional and have helped me many times with paperwork information. Always nice and try to help as much as possible
The police are horrible they tried to arrest me on my own property
They're running a racket in Ingalls. Writing "city ordinance" tickets instead of real traffic tickets, which of course you can only pay in cash at the city office. I DO NOT BLAME THE OFFICERS. It is the the town that is running this tax evasion cash only scam. They also set-up and write a lot of speeding tickets outside of Ingalls town limits.
Ingalls police pulled my fiance and I over while we were taking a relaxing evening country cruise on a moped/scooter that we have had for over a year with no problems. They informed us that we had been pulled over because the moped did not have a license plate, which is apparently a law that was enacted Jan. 1st of this year. This being the first time we had been out on it we had no idea. They proceeded to inform us the moped would be impounded and they said we could call somebody to come get us, we calmly explained to them we don't know anybody from the area with which to call and it was all a simple misunderstanding. We have had the moped for over a year and were honestly not aware of any new laws, I have owned tons of mopeds and scooters over the course of my life and never had a problem with any of them because of license plates. We asked if maybe they might at least take us home... their response was "your lucky we aren't taking you to jail" and to make us walk home over 4 miles in the dark, a large portion of the walk on the side of a major highway. Protect and serve? I don't think so, they wrote us three tickets and impounded the moped and the best part is now we have to pay them to get our recreational vehicle out of the impound and pay them for the tickets as well. Complete and total small town racket, we will be lodging a formal complaint with the department as well as the state of Indiana. Their officers are rude, and condescending. They placed myself and my fiance in danger all in the name of making a few bucks for the town, what a shameful department.
In 2008 I was pulled over for speeding, I was only going 5 over the speed limit, I was really upset & wasn't paying attention. He was very sweet & sympathetic to what I was going through and asked me just to watch my speed & maybe I should park in a local parking lot until I calmed down.
